Arrival Time: 4:30 PM *ARRIVE DRESSED IN FULL COSTUME, HAIR, MAKEUP
4:30 PM Soft Opening- Guests are allowed to check in and enter the hall. The bar will still be closed but the silent auction, shops and liquor ticket sales will be open.
Please do not drop off your child only for the performance. Everyone will require a ticket to participate. Dancers cannot be unsupervised.
Attire: Semi Formal. Guests and dancers are asked to wear semi formal attire (dancers will change into their semi-formal attire after their performance). It is also important to remember that dancers are NOT permitted to eat in their costume.
When you arrive at the venue, please check in at the front desk. Our volunteers will confirm your tickets and direct you to your table. Signs will be posted to the changeroom area where you can leave your costume bag to change later.

GROUP PHOTO: All groups that performed in PART 1 will take a group photo together on the floor after the last dance.
** Dancers need to change out of their costume as soon as their performance is finished. They are NOT allowed to eat in their costume.
** If your dancer is performing in both Part 1 and Part 2, they will need to arrive dressed in costume for Part 1, change out of their costume for dinner, then change into their next costume after dinner for Part 2.

Performance Time: 10:00 AM (Pre-Beginners, Kalyna/Aoife, Cassie/James), 1:00 PM (Zlata, Alisa, Lev/Olenka)
IMPORTANT: If there is anything wrong (sickness, cannot make it on time, etc.) we urge you to PLEASE post in the class WhatsApp chat
When you arrive at the venue, please let the people at the entrance know that you are performers. They will lead you to the changerooms. Please find your instructor near the changeroom area. Then please change quickly into your costume. Your instructor has to go over your dance with you before your performance.
Parking available on the street on front of the building or the parking lot in the back.
COMING PERFORMANCE READY
Dancers are required to arrive wearing their black Vykrutas rehearsal shirt. This helps our school look professional, helps organizers recognize us easily and gives our school free advertising! Girls, please arrive at the venue with your hair already french braided, pinned and hair sprayed. Please also make sure your stage makeup is completely done (mascara, eyeliner, blush, lipstick).

Dancers should arrive wearing their Vykrutas rehearsal wear, which will be worn for:
final bow practice - 11:45 AM
stage rehearsal - 12:15 PM
Class parent volunteers will bring dancers to and from the theatre for their practice times. Parents are not permitted in the theatre until 1:30 PM.
Parents, please meet your dancer back in the change room at 12:30 PM to feed before getting changed. Please be in the change room 1:00 PM to begin getting them changed into costume. Please make sure dancers are fed before changing into costume, as there is no eating permitted while in costume.
Sign out your dancer with the group volunteer before you leave to go home.

AT THE EVENT
When you arrive at the venue, please find the change room area and change quickly into your costume. In previous years, the change room was in the LVIV pavilion in one of the hockey change rooms behind the stage. There should be signs directing you. Your instructor has to go over your dance with you before you are to perform on stage.
After dancers finish their performance, parents are welcome and encouraged to take photos of their dancer(s). Please tag us on Instagram @vykrutas_calgary, so we can share your photos/videos with our followers! As soon as photos are finished, we request dancers change out of their costumes and back into their Vykrutas tshirt to enjoy the rest of the festival. Please do not eat in your costume.
