Arrival Time: 1 hour before your first performance (Performance times: Please see schedule below)

Parents: Please allow yourself extra time arriving to the event. Parking is free but it fills up quickly. Also, please bring cash only for entry to the concert hall.

When you arrive at the venue, please find the change room and change quickly into your costume. At the Webber Academy, the change room is the main gym. There will be signs directing you to the main gym when you enter the lobby of the concert Hall. The organizers label an area for us, you can change there. Your instructor has to go over your dance with you before you are ushered backstage. Backstage, only instructors and assistant instructors will be there to help.

This helps our school look professional, helps organizers recognize us easily and gives our school free advertising! Girls, please arrive at the venue with your hair already french braided, pinned and hair sprayed. Please also make sure your stage makeup is completely done (mascara, eyeliner, blush, lipstick, and seniors fake eyelashes too).

AT THE EVENT

After dancers perform their dance, they have to stay backstage until adjudication, when the judge gives them advice and mentions their medals. The dancers are all on stage for that and then after adjudication, the instructor or assistant instructor will lead the group back to the change area where the parents can pick up their dancer.

AT THE EVENT

No one will be allowed to enter or leave the auditorium while participants are dancing or during adjudication.

Audience members must be seated at all times while in the auditorium.

The use of flash photography, video cameras, or any recording devices is strictly prohibited in the auditorium. Violators of this rule will be escorted out of the theatre. The participant(s) whose routine was recorded may be subject to disqualification.

Parents and non-participants (with the exception of instructors) are not allowed backstage at any time during the festival.

Arrival Time: Please arrive 1 hour before your first performance (Performance times: See schedule below for performance times)

Tickets: As per the package, tickets are purchased through Ticketmaster here or in person at the Jubilee Box Office before or during the festival. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance to ensure availability. Avoid third-party sellers—only purchase from Ticketmaster.ca to prevent scams.

Upon entering the building, all attendees (parents, siblings, family members) must exchange their tickets for a wristband at the Shumka Admissions Table, located in the main lobby of the Jubilee Auditorium. Performers and instructors do not need to pre-purchase tickets. Instructors will receive a complimentary wristband at the Shumka Admissions Table during sign-in, while performers will receive a stamp granting them access to the festival.

AT THE EVENT

When you arrive at the venue, please find the change room area and change quickly into your costume. In previous years, the change room was in the LVIV pavilion in one of the hockey change rooms behind the stage. There should be signs directing you. Your instructor has to go over your dance with you before you are to perform on stage. 

After dancers finish their performance, parents are welcome and encouraged to take photos of their dancer(s). Please tag us on Instagram @vykrutas_calgary, so we can share your photos/videos with our followers! As soon as photos are finished, we request dancers change out of their costumes and back into their Vykrutas tshirt to enjoy the rest of the festival. Please do not eat in your costume.
